Steve Barton’s first career was as a computer architect, logic, and circuit design engineer at Intel and Ford Microelectronics. He originated the Intel 8096 processor family internal architecture and instruction set and its Ford EEC-IV variation. These sold well—but Steve got only a salary with no royalty.
Steve’s second career is as a patent attorney, where he has prepared and prosecuted patent application in a wide range of technologies ranging from computer architecture and electronic circuit design to biomedical engineering and medical imaging.
In both careers, Steve has used his extensive background in science and mathematics.
