Campaigning in CD7 is Expensive,
particularly when advertising is needed
for the general election in all 11 counties of CD7.
We cant win and flip this seat without your help
CD7 includes Custer, Fremont, Chaffee, Park, Teller, Lake, Jefferson, and Broomfield counties with a slice of western El Paso county including Green Mountain Falls, a chunk of Boulder county largely surrounded by Broomfield, and a morsel of Adams county by Broomfield. Highway distance from Westcliffe to Broomfield is over 160 miles, and Green Mountain Falls to Leadville 114 miles — roughly the central third of Colorado is included in the 7th congressional district. Towns within the district vary wildly in size and character from Golden, Lakewood and Broomfield as Denver suburbs through old mining and railroad towns like Westcliffe, Salida, Fairplay, Leadville or Cripple Creek that are sometimes tourist dominated, and prison-dominated Florence, Canon City. or Buena Vista to tiny rural gas spots like Hartsel. Campaigning requires much travel within the district. Steve lives in Fremont County near the south end of the district.
For a map of the district including a listing of major municipalities within the Colorado 7th congressional district please see Wikipedia..
One of the largest expenses we encounter is printing costs. Mail costs can also be high, as can be media ads like radio and billboards (although billboards exceed the currently projected budget)
